About This Legislation:

I want to understand how this is good for us

I need help understanding something.
I am 22 years old. I own two new cars, work in a great career (think health care meets technology), and have a nice house. I am starting a business with two friends and we have plenty of clients lined up so things are looking good there too. I love this country and I honestly believe that for the time being it is the best place for me to build my riches. I thought I was very fiscally conservative but most conservatives I meet disagree with my uninformed economic views.
I'm not pretending to know the right answer but when I take into consideration everything that I DO know, it doesn't feel like our actions really help our country's long term economic outlook.

DK spreads his love.... seed....

Today it is raining outside

And I don't mind it.

I have always loved the rain. Everytime it rains I listen to robert miles - children (dream version).

A wise man can learn more from a foolish question than a fool can learn from a wise answer.

So my trek to become financially independent by age 35 is coming along nicely.

Monitoring the Privatized Troubled Teen Industry Revisited

A while back I wrote a bit on how troubled teens are being abused by poorly trained and ill intentioned oafs at private rehabilitation homes for teens.
Well, it continues -

So for the record...

I LOVE Wired magazine's stuff now. They have Reddit, all of their blog, and their amazing magazine. For a while there they were slipping. They weren't the old insane magazine I had come to love (they were bought by a major media outlet). They were being too safe. They were being too careful. Where was the interesting content!?!?!? Now though, it would seem that while they aren't the crazy neon colored cool kids they once were, they have matured in their style of journalism. While not quite as Japanese school girlish or freshman art studentish, they have higher quality content.
Good for you, Wired. Its nice to have you back.

Pics From This Month

Some of my favorite pictures from this month. I view literally thousands of pics every month. Here are a few of my favorites. I know I am missing a ton and have some crap in here but I promise that next month will be a little more selective. Also, I promise to try and show a little less Gilad.

Again... someday... SOMEDAY I will have the money to visit these places...

Binary Stars to Merge Creating one of the Largest Stars Known to Man!

Scientists will be watching a binary star system called LH54-425 very closely. At three million years old it is a relatively young system but it is about to do something amazing. They are expecting the two stars to merge soon as they have been feeding each other matter for some time now. Over one million years ago it is believed that a star called Eta Carinae underwent a similar process and made Eta Carinae the largest star in the known galaxy.

Observing the merging of these two stars will give us a better understanding of what happens when two stars collide to form a star with 80X the mass of our own sun.
Douglas Gies of Georgia State University says that the stars are just 1/6th the distance from each other that earth is from our sun.
